You, and I both know running is a great way to get in (and stay in) shape. Is it the best way? That's debatable, but with these benefits, why would you not want to add running into your regular routine...

Running helps strengthen your lungs, improves your mood and outlook, helps prevent high blood pressure, strengthens your bones, relieves stress, helps build your immune system.  

NO GYM NEEDED
Hate going to the gym? Can't afford the membership fee? Hours of the gym don't match your free time? None of that matters if you choose to run. Grab a pair of comfortable shoes and get moving! Choose a trail, or a park, or just head right outside your house and run your neighborhood. Running cost you nothing!



LIVE LONGER
A New York Times article talked about a study that shows running, no matter other life choices (drinking, smoking), can help you live 3 additional years, compared to non runners. And running daily, just 5 minutes can increase life spans.

BUILD MUSCLE
The biggest muscles on your body are in your legs. While running, you are strengthening you Quads, Hamstrings, Calves, & Butt. You are also building muscle in your core. Abs, & Obliques get a great workout while you run.
